Announcing our 2018 February Grantees!

We are excited to announce the completion of our 2018 February grant cycle. The Board of the JA Community Foundation has approved grants to seven nonprofit organizations serving Japanese American and Asian American communities throughout California. We would like to thank all of the organizations that applied and congratulate the 2018 February grant award recipients.

Our 2018 February Grants were awarded to the following organizations:

Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles – Our grant will support their media production of “Faces of Caregiving” Awareness and Education Campaign in Los Angeles County.

Fresno Art Museum – Our grant will assist with funding of their upcoming exhibition of KAY SEKIMACHI: Master Weaver Innovations in Forms and Materials.

Go For Broke National Education Center (GFBNEC) – Our grant will be used for the enhancement of their exhibition of “Defining Courage”.

Kizuna Little Tokyo, Inc. – Our grant will support their Kizuna’s Service Learning Program.

Kokoro Assisted Living, Inc. – Our grant will be used for the construction of Kokoro Rooftop Garden.

Sakura Kai – Our grant will assist their Transition to a New Site.

Watsonville-Santa Cruz JACL – Our grant will be used to update their Kizuka Hall Senior Center built in the 1950s.
